THE CONTEST.
The BoaterExam.com

$50,000 Safe Boating Contest starts at 12:01 AM Eastern Time on September 1st, 2007 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on August 31st, 2008 ("Entry Period."). The Contest shall be subject to these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”) available at www.boaterexam.com
®
. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Rules.
ELIGIBILITY.
CONTEST IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; WHO HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF 18 OR THE LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY ACCORDING TO THEIR PROVINCE or TERRITORY or STATE OF RESIDENCE AS OF THE DATE OF THEIR ENTRY; except employees or contractors of BoaterExam.com
®
, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, and partners, and members of their respective immediate families living in the same household; void in the province of Quebec and where prohibited by law.
ALL ENTRIES FOR THE CONTEST MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59:59 PM ET ON AUGUST 31ST, 2008.
Entrants who do not follow the Rules will be disqualified. Persons registering as “boaters” online at www.boaterexam.com

during the Contest as per the Rules will be eligible to win. Registered “Exam Supervisors” who supervise exams on www.boaterexam.com

during the Contest as per the Rules will be eligible to win; they will be entered each time they supervise an exam for a new individual. Persons who have purchased a replacement Pleasure Craft Operator Card during the Contest will be entered in the contest. No purchase necessary. and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human error; technical malfunctions; congestion, failures, omission, interruption, deletion, or defect of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, servers, providers, or software, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest; inability to access the Web site or any pages thereof; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; data processing that is processed late or incorrectly or is incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on telephone lines or the Internet or any web site; printing; administrative or other errors of any kind or any combination thereof. Proof of entering information at the Web site is not considered proof of delivery or receipt. Illegible, incomplete entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of the BoaterExam.com

and will not be returned. False and/or deceptive entries or acts shall render entrants ineligible. Any information collected by registering to enter the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Rules and with the BoaterExam.com

PRIZES
1st prize:
Lund WC 14 Boat, a 25HP Mercury 25 Classic motor, an EZ Loader 12-14 1000 Spring Axle Bunk Trailer, a Minn Kota 40 All Terrain 40 lb thrust 12 volt 48” shaft bow mount foot control trolling motor, 2 Inflatable Mustang PFDs, 2 High Impact Mustang PFDs, and a Humminbird Fishfinder 565 dual beam unit.
Point of pickup for boat, motors and trailer is determined following confirmation of winner. Battery not included. Insurance, licensing, rigging, taxes, and pick up costs are the responsibility of the winner upon receipt of prize. Approximate retail value $12,000.
2nd prize:
A trip for two to Queen Charlotte Lodge on Queen Charlotte Island, British Columbia. Guide and return travel from Vancouver to the Resort included. This prize is transferable to another person of the prize winner's choice.
Winner is responsible for travel to Vancouver. Tips, alchohilic beverages, and upgrades at the lodge are extra. Approximate retail value: $9,600
3rd prize:
A day fishing with pro fisherman Bob Izumi at Bark Lake Resort Ontario, Canada, in Octobre 2008, one night's accommodation and travel to and from the Resort included. This prize is transferable to another person of the prize winner's choice. Approximate retail value: $30,000
4th prize:
A Bass Pro Shops 100 MPH Gore-Tex Rain Suit. Approximate retail value: $550
Only those items specifically listed above are included and any other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner and their guests including, but not limited to, transportation to and from the winner’s and guests home(s) and the destination, items of a personal nature, personal expenses, some meals, insurance, tax and gratuities. No responsibility is assumed by the Contest Sponsors for cancelled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events for any reason whatsoever beyond their control. Other restrictions may apply. The Contest Prize’s dates and features are subject to change.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION.
4 winners will be selected by BoaterExam.com

from all eligible entries received as of the Contest Closing Date. Winners will be notified by Telephone and/or email within two weeks of the closing date.
ENTRIES.
All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries.
PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Information gathered from the online entry form is for the sole use of BoaterExam.com

in connection with the Contest. Personal Information (your name, address, telephone number and email) will not be passed on to any other organization or group for the purpose of solicitation. No correspondence will be entered into, except with the selected entrants who will be notified by email or telephone. By entering the contest, each entrant consents to the use of their name, address (city and province only), likeness (photograph) and statements in any publicity carried out by BoaterExam.com

without compensation or limitation, and may be required to execute affidavits of eligibility and/or a publicity release.
CONTEST TERMINATION.

reserves the right to terminate or modify the Contest in any way that it deems to be fair and equitable in the event of an occurrence which may materially affect the proper play of the Contest.
SUSPENSION.
Subject to paragraph 8, if for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, or if this Contest or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and processing of entries per these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in BoaterExam.com’s

sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, BoaterExam.com

reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest or any portion thereof. If such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension occurs, notification will be posted on the Web site Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any web site or undermine legitimate operation of the program is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, BoaterExam.com

reserves the right to disqualify and seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of dispute over source of any electronic entry, the entry will be attributed to the authorized account holder of the email account. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. A potential winner may be requested to provide the BoaterExam.com

with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and that all eligibility requirements are met.
TRANSFER AND ASSIGNMENT.
No transfer, or assignment, or substitution for cash equivalent of prizes will be allowed except at the discretion of the BoaterExam.com

. The chances of being selected depend upon the total number of entries received. Void where prohibited. The contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, State, and Municipal laws. In the event that any of the prizes are unavailable, BoaterExam.com
