SLACKEN SPEED
Operators in Georgia must reduce speed to avoid endangering persons or a person's property from the effect of their watercrafts wake. Reduce speed when approaching or passing the following;

Vessels underway, lying to, at anchor, or made fast to the shore

Piers, docks, or boathouses

Someone in the water

Someone involved in towed water sports or on a surfboard

If your boat runs into an object because you were traveling too fast and were unable to stop in time.
