CHAPTER 9: Boating Education Practices

9.1 IN COLORADO

In the state of Colorado, persons who are 14-15 years old may only operate a vessel under the following conditions:

  • If they have successfully completed a boating safety course that is approved by the Colorado Boating Law Administrator, and
  • If they have in their possession the boating safety certificate which was issued to them by the course provider.
