GEORGIA REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
Georgia Department of Natural Resources:
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is responsible for regulating the state boating laws in Georgia.
All boats propelled by machinery, including gasoline, diesel and electric motors, and principally operated on Georgia waters must be registered and issued a Certificate of Registration by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Sailboats 12 feet and longer must also be registered.
