This course is intended for renters of watercraft in the state of Minnesota who do not already possess a valid boating education certificate but who wish to rent a boat or PWC to operate on Minnesota waters. It is valid for 180 days from completion of the exam.

The boat rental safety certificate is proof that you have successfully completed a boating safety course. The boat rental safety certificate does not expire and does not need to be renewed. Therefore, it is NOT a Minnesota Boating License!
